| Moss there for the taking, if any team is interested
The NFL Network perpetuated an interesting rumor and theory that perhaps Moss and aging Packers quarterback Brett Favre would finally team up in Green Bay. After all, Favre wanted Moss before the '07 season. Moss, the story goes, didn't feel the Packers were as welcoming as the Patriots, which is why he was happy to be traded to New England after two forgettable seasons with the Raiders. The Moss watch continues, and you have to think his most recent team is a little uncomfortable as this unfolds. With the Patriots' former No. 3 receiver, Donte' Stallworth, signing a seven-year, $35 million ($10 million guaranteed) deal on Saturday to play opposite Braylon Edwards in the Browns' increasingly fortified offense, New England's one-time glut of Tom Brady targets is dwindling.

The DA asked if adults, not just kids, are subject to suggestion, and Fraga said, "Absolutely." Hora asked how much Fraga was charging for being here. Fraga said his hourly in-court rate is $350, and the rate is $300 out of court. He accepted Hora's calculations that he's being paid about $7,000, including expenses. "Would you agree with me that testifying in court is a fairly lucrative part of the practice?" Hora asked. Between that and neuroscience work, yes, Fraga said. Hora asked what percentage of his practice involved testifying in criminal court cases, and Fraga said about 25 percent. Fraga confirmed that he's testified as a "social historian" in another trial. Hora asked what a social historian does, and Fraga said his job was to "humanize the defendant" by "taking a look at the totality of their life experiences.
The PM-elect has an extensive list of reforms for his first 100 days ...
CLAIMING victory on Saturday night, Prime Minister-elect Kevin Rudd gave his fledgling government time for a strong cup of tea and maybe an iced Vo Vo but said after that it would be down to business. At his first press conference after the victory speech, there was little time for reflection on the stunning win of the previous night. Instead, Mr Rudd spelt out his extensive to-do list. He had already outlined a series of things he wanted to get done within 100 days of Labor forming government. It is not clear whether Mr Rudd will take the 100 days from now or from the time the Governor-General gives him the commission, but given his frantic activity already, it is likely that he started counting down the 100 days as soon as John Howard conceded defeat.
TV REVIEW: Melancholy elevates 'New Amsterdam'
He isn't impressed."Cynicism isn't just a pose," he broods. "It's what gets you through the day ... Everything gets old. Except me."He isn't kidding. Blessed - or perhaps cursed - by an Indian spell 375 years ago, Amsterdam is immortal. He'll never die or even age until he meets his one true love. And his pursuit of murderers is motivated as least as much by a fascination with their ability to end life as it is any abstract sense of justice. "No one gets to die today," he declares as he disarms one gunman, with something like longing. If the premise of "New Amsterdam," a Fox drama originally scheduled for last fall that makes its delayed debut Tuesday, sounds a little comic-bookish, the show's execution is anything but. This tale of a lonely cop left behind by everyone - partners, friends, lovers, even the criminals he pursues - has a piercing melancholy that elevates it way above its fantasy trappings.Amsterdam, deftly played by "Black Hawk Down's" Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, fell under the spell when he saved an Indian maiden from a soldier under his command back when New York was a colonial village.

Maybe have to go back to work. Not something I want my 89 year old mother doing...how about you? We are seeing a lot of the boomer having not put a lot back for retirement and in a recession enviroment a market loss could put off retriement for 5 to 8 years to make up for. It's better to have a plan and not need it then to need a plan and not have one... The best laid plans are not constructed under pressure... Do it now sit down with an advisor a CPA, CEP, CFP or a RFC and review assets and plan for the worst. and where do you want to be in 5 year or 10 year or in retirement. Seattle Papers Differ On Terroristic Nature of ELF-suspected Arsons
I've had it with those spoiled brats out West, those green weenie idiots called the ELF. These people are burning down houses in the Pacific Northwest and it will only be a matter of time before they kill someone. We know they protest at every economic summit in the states. The next time they do, round them all up and throw 'em in jail, get them to talk about who is burning down buildings and what not. A little waterboarding would do them some good. Because they may be better off being caught by the government then being caught by everyday citizens. They wouldn't like that. .
IT Best Buy Shines Brightly as CompUSA Fades Away
When it comes to the realm of consumer electronics, Best Buy is the reigning retail leader. Best Buy's market dominance was made even clearer with the company's fiscal 2008 Q3 earnings report. Best Buy reported a 52% increase in its Q3 profits compared to the same period one year ago. In addition, overall quarterly revenue rose 17% from $8.5 billion USD to $9.9 billion USD thanks to 45 new store openings during the quarter. Revenue from Best Buy's online division helped the total with a 65% increase from fiscal 2007 Q3. Not surprisingly, Best Buy attributed an extra week of after Thanksgiving revenue for its stellar third quarter performance. Hot items for Best Buy during Q3 included consoles, flat-panel TVs, notebook computers and GPS units. When all was said and done, Best Buy's sales mix for the third quarter was 41%, 28%, 19%, 6% and 6% respectively for Consumer Electronics, Home Office, Entertainment Software, Appliances and Services.
